As a non-profit, the mission of IAREF is to educate medical professionals to better serve their communities. With a particular focus on the connections between autoimmune diseases and chronic infections.

He is also CEO and owner of Institute for Specialized Medicine, a private rheumatology practice in San Diego, CA.
